MISSION

WHAT WE DO

Construction Engineering

The Construction Division continues to be a key contributor to the Group’s earnings and profitability. The Group’s construction activities are principally undertaken by TRC Construction Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as Trans Resources Corporation Sdn. Bhd.) (“TRC”), the Group’s main operating company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of TRC Synergy Berhad.

TRC is an established Bumiputera construction company with over 40 years of industry experience. The Company is registered with Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor (PKK) and the Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) as a Grade G7 contractor. Its other registrations include those with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), PETRONAS, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and the National Water Services Commission (SPAN).

TRC’s commitment to quality, environmental responsibility and occupational health and safety is reflected in its management system certifications. The Company first obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification for its construction services in 2002, subsequently renewing its certification under ISO 9001:2015 in 2017. TRC is also certified to ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Over the years, TRC has established a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure and building projects across Malaysia and the region. Its capabilities encompass roads, bridges, railways, airport runways, terminals and related facilities, hospitals, correctional and security complexes, submarine hangar, naval bases and other infrastructure developments. The Company also possesses specialised construction experience in areas such as mock-up oil rigs, palm oil delivery pipelines and bulking facilities, synchro-lift and TTS transfer systems, torpedo and missile bunkers, torpedo workshops, jetties and shooting ranges.

Airport Infrastructure

TRC has extensive experience in airport construction and development, dating back to 1996, when it completed the redevelopment of Labuan International Airport. Since then, the Company has participated in various airport projects in Malaysia, including Sibu Airport, Penang International Airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Kota Bharu Airport and Kuala Terengganu Airport. Its regional experience includes the Modernisation of Brunei International Airport, which was completed in 2017.

TRC’s involvement in these projects has encompassed a broad range of construction and specialist works, including terminal buildings, civil and runway works, airfield ground lighting (AGL), baggage handling systems and radar facilities. This breadth of experience demonstrates the Company’s ability to undertake diverse and technically demanding airport infrastructure works.

Rail and Urban Transit Infrastructure

TRC has also established a strong track record in Malaysia’s rail and urban transit sector. The Company has completed major viaduct guideway and station works for the Kelana Jaya Line (LRT2), MRT Line 1 (Sungai Buloh–Kajang, SBK) and MRT Line 2 (Sungai Buloh–Serdang–Putrajaya, SSP).

In addition, TRC has completed three heavy maintenance depots for the MRT network at Sungai Buloh (SBK) and Serdang (SSP) as well as a depot for the LRT3 project at Johan Setia, Klang, Selangor. These projects further reinforce the Company’s experience in delivering complex rail infrastructure and supporting facilities.

Corporate Governance and Integrity

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening corporate governance and integrity, TRC is implementing an Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) in accordance with ISO 37001:2025, with SIRIM certification targeted for January 2027. This initiative forms part of the Company’s continuing efforts to enhance its anti-bribery and corruption prevention framework.

TRC encourages the reporting of suspected misconduct and integrity-related concerns through its designated reporting channel at alert@trc.com.my. All reports will be handled with due care and confidentiality, in accordance with the Company’s applicable policies and procedures.

Strategic Direction

Moving forward, TRC will continue to focus on construction segments where it has established expertise, proven capabilities and a strong delivery track record. At the same time, the Company remains committed to identifying suitable diversification opportunities and pursuing projects that align with its strategic objectives, technical capabilities and long-term growth aspirations.
